Procedure

  1. Close fuel valve at tank or separator inlet.
  2. Remove water drain plug; drain water and fuel.
  3. Remove element with bowl from mounting head.
  4. Remove bowl; inspect O-ring and components for wear.
  5. Lubricate O-ring with clean diesel or motor oil; replace in bowl.
  6. Replace bowl onto new element; fill with clean fuel.
  7. Tighten centerbolt to 65 inch pounds.
  8. Replace drain plug; open fuel valve; bleed system.
