Kohler — reassemble, and recheck pressure.

Procedure
- Seals and/or gaskets leaking. Loose or
- Replace all worn or damaged seals and
- Piston blowby or leaky valves. Confirm with
- Recondition piston, rings, cylinder bore, valves,
- Restricted exhaust.
- Repair/replace restricted muffl er/exhaust

- Run engine for 3-5 minutes to warm it up.
- Remove spark plug(s) and air filter from
- Rotate the crankshaft until the piston is at top
- Install the adapter into the spark plug hole, but
- Connect an adequate air source to the tester.
- Turn the regulator knob in the increase (clockwise)
- Connect
- Check your test results against the table below:

Tools required
- adapter. Note the gauge reading and listen for
- slot or square hole of the holding tool, so it is
- perpendicular to both the holding tool and
- Gauge reading in ‘‘high’’ (red) zone ............................................... Rings and/or cylinder have considerable wear.
- direction until the gauge needle is in the yellow
- crankshaft is accessible. Slide the holding tool
- breaker bar and socket on the flywheel nut/screw to
- adapter hose and a holding tool.

- Gauge reading in ‘‘low’’ (green) zone ............................................ Piston rings and cylinder in good condition.
