Procedure

  5. PTO drive is engaged.
  6. Battery (if equipped) is discharged.
  7. Safety interlock switch is engaged.
  8. Loose or faulty wires or connections.
  9. Faulty key switch or ignition switch.
  10. Faulty electric starter (if equipped).
  11. Retractable starter not engaging in drive cup.
  12. Seized internal engine components.
  13. Empty fuel tank.
  14. Fuel shut-off valve closed.
  15. Dirt or water in the fuel system.
  16. Clogged fuel line.
  17. Spark plug lead disconnected.
  18. Key switch or kill switch in ‘‘off’’ position.
  19. Faulty spark plug.
  20. Faulty ignition module.
  21. Restricted fuel tank cap vent.
  22. Dirt or water in the fuel system.
  23. Faulty choke or throttle controls.
  24. Loose wires or connections that short the kill
  25. Faulty carburetor.
  26. Faulty cylinder head gasket.
  27. PTO drive is engaged.
  28. Dirt or water in the fuel system.
  29. Clogged fuel line.
