Kohler — Cylinder Head Retightening

Before you start
- Always use new cylinder head gaskets.
Procedure
- Remove cylinder head screws in order (14 or 18) to (1).
- Remove cylinder head gasket and O-ring; replace gasket.
- Install cylinder head, making sure not to damage O-ring.
- Tighten screws gradually in order (1) to (14 or 18) after applying engine oil.
- Retighten cylinder head screws after running engine 30 minutes.

Specs & values
- Tighten head bolts to 47.0-50.6 ft lbs (63.7-68.6 Nm)
