Before you start

  • Generator set will not start if air filter is removed.

Procedure

  1. Press OFF on controller.
  2. Disconnect utility power.
  3. Disconnect starting battery, negative lead first.
  4. Loosen two cover retaining knobs and remove cover.
  5. Remove paper element.
  6. Replace dirty, bent, or damaged element; do not wash or use pressurized air.
  7. Reinstall element flat and properly seated.
  8. Install cover and secure with two retaining knobs.
