Before you start
- Paper element cannot be blown out with compressed air.
- Operating engine with loose or damaged air cleaner could cause premature wear.
Procedure
- Move bails on air cleaner cover down.
- Remove latches from tabs on base.
- Remove cover.
- Remove precleaner from paper element.
- Wash precleaner in warm water with detergent.
- Rinse and allow to air dry.
- Lightly oil precleaner with new engine oil.
- Squeeze out excess oil.
- Reinstall precleaner over paper element.
