Before you start
- Perform the storage procedure before taking a generator set out of service for three months or longer.

Procedure
- Run the generator set for a minimum of 30 minutes to bring it to normal operating temperature.
- Stop the generator set.
- With the engine still warm, drain the oil from the crankcase.
- Remove and replace the oil filter.
- Refill the crankcase with oil suited to the climate.
- Run the generator set for two minutes to distribute the clean oil.
- Stop the generator set.
- Check the oil level and adjust, if needed.
