Before you start
- Do not wash paper element or use pressurized air, this will damage it

Procedure
- Place master switch OFF/RESET, disconnect battery charger power and battery negative lead
- Loosen cover retaining knob, remove cover
- Remove element cover nut, element cover, and paper element with precleaner
- Remove precleaner from paper element; do not wash or clean paper element with pressurized air
- Replace element if dirty, bent, or damaged; check base and cover for damage
- Reinstall paper element, precleaner, element cover, nut, and air cleaner cover
- Reconnect battery charger power and battery negative lead last
