Procedure
- Drain the oil (while hot) from the crankcase, then refill with regular grade oil.
- Drain the fuel from the fuel tank to prevent moisture from mixing with the fuel.
- Check the engine coolant level and specific gravity.
- Disconnect battery (negative lead first) and place in storage.
- Seal all openings in the engine with non-absorbent adhesive tape; mask off areas used for electrical contact.
- Clean exterior surface of the generator and spread a light film of oil over unpainted metallic surfaces.
