Before you start
- Dispose of used engine oil in an environmentally safe manner.
- Do not operate set if the oil level exceeds the MAX mark or registers below the MIN mark.

Procedure
- Place a container below the oil drain and open the oil drain valve.
- Allow sufficient time for the old oil to drain completely; close the oil drain valve.
- Remove either oil fill cap (rocker arm cover or near fuel injector pump).
- If the engine oil filter is to be replaced, see Oil Filter procedure.
- Fill crankcase with proper amount and type of oil.
- Replace oil fill cap. Start the generator set and check for oil leaks.
- Stop the set, check oil level, and add oil as necessary to bring level up to MAX mark.
