Before you start
- Rotating parts. Do not operate generator set without all guards, screens, or covers in place.
Procedure
- Loosen pivot and adjusting screws.
- While prying alternator outward, tighten adjusting screw.
- Tighten pivot screw.
- Recheck and adjust as necessary.
- Check fan belt for cracks or tears and replace if necessary.
Specs & values
- Belt tension: depress about 0.28 to 0.35 in. (7 to 9 mm) with about 22 lbs. (10 kg) of force
