Generac QuietPact 40 — Cleaning or Replacing the Paper Filter

Procedure

  1. Follow steps 1-3 of foam precleaner procedure; service foam precleaner if necessary.
  2. Remove the paper filter.
  3. Clean the air filter by tapping it gently on a solid surface; replace if too dirty.
  4. Clean the air cleaner cover then reassemble following steps 7-9 of precleaner procedure.

Specs & values

  • Clean or replace once each year or every 100 hours, whichever comes first; new filter must be flame retardant
