Procedure

  1. Turn oil filter counterclockwise to remove.
  2. Coat gasket of new filter with engine oil.
  3. Turn new filter clockwise until gasket contacts lightly with filter adapter.
  4. Tighten an additional 3/4 to one turn by hand.
  5. Run engine and check for leaks.
  6. Check oil level and fill to full mark after checking for leaks.
