Before you start
- Shut down generator before checking V-belt tension.

Procedure
- Loosen fixing screw above alternator with 12 mm wrench.
- Loosen fixing screw below alternator with 14 mm wrench.
- Push alternator toward thermostat housing.
- Replace the V-belt.
- Tension V-belt by pulling alternator back; belt should yield approx. 1 cm with thumb.
- Re-tighten screws above and below alternator.

- V-belt yield approx. 1 cm when pushed with thumb
- Replace at max. 250 operating hours; inspect after 50 operating hours
