Before you start
- Lubrication is very important; the impeller can otherwise dissolve very fast.
Procedure
- Close the raw water stop cock.
- Remove cover of raw water pump by loosening the 4 wing screws.
- Mark the impeller to ensure correct position at reinstallation.
- Pull the impeller from the shaft with multigrip pliers.
- Check impeller for damage and replace if necessary.
- Lubricate impeller with glycerin or non-mineral oil based lubricant such as silicone spray.
- Attach impeller to pump shaft; observe marking if reusing old impeller.
- Fasten cover and use a new gasket.
