Before you start

  • External expansion tank should be connected and mounted at sufficient height, 600 mm over exhaust elbow union.

Procedure

  1. Stop generator before opening ventilating points.
  2. Open cooling water filler screw.
  3. Refill coolant until level no longer sags.
  4. Close screw and start generator; run about 1 minute and switch off.
  5. Open ventilation screw at cooling water pump pipe until water exits nonporous.
  6. Close screw firmly.
  7. Repeat de-aeration two to three times; repeat after some days.
