Before you start
- Burn hazard: generator and oil can be hot
Procedure
- Run generator about 10 minutes to warm engine, then wait 3 minutes.
- Assure generator against accidental start and open casing.
- Place oil-resistant mat and container under oil drain hose.
- Unscrew oil filling cap.
- Open oil drain screw with 17 mm wrench and drain oil completely.
- Remove used oil filter with filter wrench.
- Lubricate sealing of new filter and screw in by hand.
- Refit oil drain screw with new sealing.
- Fill engine oil and check level with dipstick every 2 litres.
- Run engine 10 minutes, stop, check oil level and top up.
