Fischer Panda 3.5e / PMS 5.5e — Starting the Generator

Operation

Before you start

  • If the generator fails to start after more than four attempts, raw water may enter the engine through the exhaust manifold. Damage from water ingestion is not covered under warranty.

Procedure

  1. Open raw water valve.
  2. Press and release the On/Off button on the control panel.
  3. Verify on the control panel that no values display '---' by cycling through screens.
  4. Press and release the Start/Stop button; the engine automatically preheats for 0 to 20 seconds.
  5. The starter engages; the control system disengages it once the engine starts.
  6. If the generator fails to start, the shutdown message 'Start Attempt Failed' is displayed.
