DuroMax XP12000E — Cleaning the Air Filter

Before you start

  • Improper maintenance may cause overheating and engine wear

Procedure

  1. Release clips on top and bottom to remove filter cover.
  2. Remove sponge-like elements from casing.
  3. Wipe dirt from inside empty air cleaner casing.
  4. Wash sponge elements in household dish detergent and warm water.
  5. Pat dry and allow elements to dry completely.
  6. Soak dry elements in small amount of engine oil.
  7. Ring out any excess oil.
  8. Replace elements in casing and replace cover.
