Denyo — Generator Startup Procedure

For these Denyo models: DCA-220ESM, DF-2400M.

Applies to: Denyo DCA-220ESM, Denyo DF-2400M

Procedure

  1. Set the single/parallel switch to the single side position.
  2. Set the starter switch in RUN position. If the engine is warm, no preheating is needed. The duration of preheating differs according to the temperature of cooling water.
  3. Turn fully the starter switch up to START. Immediately after engine starts up, release the starter key, and it comes to the RUN position automatically. Right after engine stopped, engine does not restart for about 20 seconds due to engine shut down functions.
  4. Allow engine to run for warming up for a while. Check that all alarm lamps are off after starting engine. Soon after the engine starts up, it comes in idling automatically and the running caution lamp turns on. After about 20 seconds, engine speed increases automatically to the high speed as set by the throttle switch.
  5. Adjust the engine speed. When engine runs at a high speed after warming up, set the speed to the rpm shown in the table: 50Hz Operation requires 50Hz (1500rpm), 60Hz Operation requires 60Hz (1800rpm).
  6. Adjust the output voltage to the rating by the voltage regulator.
  7. Turn on the circuit breaker, and electrical power is fed to load.
