Denyo — Booster Cable Connection and Battery Jump Start

For these Denyo models: DCA-220ESM, DF-2400M.

Applies to: Denyo DCA-220ESM, Denyo DF-2400M

Before you start

  • Make sure terminal + does not touch terminal - when connecting booster cables
  • Use booster cables and clips of the size that matches the size of battery
  • The battery used for normal machine should be the same in capacity as the battery of the machine in trouble
  • Clips must be firmly connected after connection

Procedure

  1. Connect the clip of the booster cable A to the terminal + of the normal machine battery.
  2. Connect the clip of the booster cable A to the terminal + of the battery of the machine in trouble.
  3. Connect the clip of the booster cable B to the terminal - of the battery of the normal machine.
  4. Connect the other clip of the booster cable B to the engine block of the machine in trouble. The engine block should be connected at a place more than 30cm away from the battery.
  5. Start the normal machine engine first and run it for a few minutes.
  6. Start the engine of the machine in trouble. Once the engine starts, run both engines for a few more minutes.
  7. Remove the clip of the booster cable A connected to the engine block of the machine in trouble.
  8. Remove the clip of the booster cable A connected to the terminal + of the normal machine.
  9. Remove the clip of the booster cable B connected to the terminal - of the normal machine.
  10. Remove the clip of the booster cable B connected to the engine block of the machine in trouble.

Tools required

  • Booster cables with clips

Specs & torque values

  • Battery capacity should match between normal machine and machine in trouble
  • Engine block connection should be more than 30cm away from battery
