Cummins/Onan — To remove the muffler

Before you start
- Flexible tube is fragile; do not bend or twist it.
- Exhaust gas is deadly; use Onan approved exhaust system parts.
Procedure
- Disconnect negative battery cable and remove top and back housing panels.
- Disconnect exhaust tail pipe and remove flanged tail pipe adaptor.
- Remove flange screws on both ends of flexible tube and withdraw tube.
- Remove screws from 2 muffler support brackets and muffler manifold flange, then withdraw muffler.
Specs & values
- Use new flange gaskets for tail pipe adaptor, flexible tube and muffler.
