Before you start
- Do not depress accelerator pedal while cranking - can cause engine overspeed and severe damage.
Procedure
- Disengage the driven unit, or put transmission in neutral.
- With accelerator pedal/lever in idle position, turn key switch to ON, then to START.
- If engine does not start after three attempts, check the fuel supply system.
- Idle the engine 3 to 5 minutes before operating with a load.
- Increase engine speed slowly after cold start to allow oil pressure to stabilize.
