Before you start
- Batteries can emit explosive gases.
- Do not connect jumper/charging cable to fuel system or electronic components.
Procedure
- Ventilate the compartment before servicing batteries.
- Remove negative (-) battery cable first, attach negative (-) cable last.
- Connect jumper cables in parallel: positive to positive, negative to negative.
- Turn disconnect switch to OFF and remove key before attaching jumper cables.
