Before you start

  • Water and sediment can contain petroleum products. Consult local environmental agency for disposal guidelines.

Procedure

  1. Shut off the engine.
  2. Loosen the drain valve nut completely so the valve drops down from the filter 1 inch.
  3. Drain the filter sump of water until clear fuel is visible.
  4. Tighten the drain valve nut to stop draining.
