Procedure
- Remove the brush cover.
- Disconnect the wire connector and remove the brush.
- Replace the brush with a new one if it is 5 mm (0.2 in.) long or less.
- Note the brush direction and relative position with the slip ring and install the new brush correctly.
Specs & values
- Check brush every 500 hours or if generator performance is irregular
- Replace if brush is 5 mm (0.2 in.) or less
