Before you start
- Exhaust gas is deadly - carbon monoxide is poisonous and can cause unconsciousness and death
Procedure
- Make sure all vehicle CO detectors are working properly.
- Remove access cover.
- Inspect the generator set as instructed in the Maintenance chapter.
- Perform any maintenance due.
- Keep a maintenance log.
- Check for signs of fuel and exhaust leaks and for damage to the exhaust system.
- Replace access cover.
- Turn off the air conditioner and other large appliances.

- Perform before the first start of the day and after every 8 hours of operation
