Cummins/Onan — Power Unit Starting Procedure
Operation

Applies to: Kubota 2482B engine
Before you start
- Do not use ether or any starting fluid as a starting aid; it can cause an explosion.
- Do not engage the starter longer than 10 seconds; wait 30 seconds between starting attempts.
Procedure
- Put the Heat/Off/AC switch in the center Off position.
- Press the Start/Stop switch to Start and release it when the engine starts.
- If the engine does not start after cranking 10 seconds, release the switch, wait 30 seconds and try again.
- If the engine still does not start, hold the Preheat switch and Start switch in at the same time.
- If the engine does not start on the third try, check the fuel supply, fuel system priming and oil level.
