Before you start
- Priming the fuel system should only be done by a skilled and experienced diesel technician.
Procedure
- Disconnect the negative (-) lead to the genset starting battery so the set cannot be started.
- Use clip leads to jumper B+ and ground to the electric fuel pump.
- Run the fuel pump for five to ten seconds until air is purged from the low-pressure fuel system.
- Reconnect the starting battery so the generator set may be cranked.
