Before you start
- Never lubricate the impeller with engine oil or other petroleum-based lubricants; this will shorten impeller life.
Procedure
- Close the valve that admits sea water (sea cock) and remove the hose from the water filter outlet.
- Fill the hose and pump with clean water.
- Replace the hose and open the sea cock.
- Check pump operation on start-up by observing water discharge from the exhaust outlet.
