Before you start
- Never weld with engine and control cover removed.
Procedure
- Plug cables into proper jack receptacles for electrode amperage.
- Set fine current control at approximate center position.
- Try welding characteristics and make fine adjustments as necessary.
- If arc conditions poor, try next higher or lower jack receptacle and readjust fine control.
- Check connections if adjustment unsatisfactory.
