Before you start
- Mica must also be undercut whenever commutator is refinished.
Procedure
- Undercut mica as soon as it touches the brushes.
- Use hacksaw-blade emergency tool if needed.
- Avoid injury to copper bar surfaces.
- Leave no burrs along bar edges.
