Before you start

  • Ignition switch must be OFF when engine not running to avoid discharging battery.

Procedure

  1. Move ignition switch on control panel to ON position. Battery must be connected.
  2. Adjust choke according to temperature conditions.
  3. Push START switch firmly. Release if no start within seconds.
  4. Open choke and repeat if second attempt fails.
  5. After start, adjust choke to best running position and push in gradually as engine warms.
