Before you start
- Do not let the frame assembly rest or drag on the armature.
Procedure
- Remove generator band and end bell cover.
- Remove brush springs and lift brushes from holders.
- Remove through-stud nuts and remove endbell/frame as one assembly.
- Remove baffle ring from adapter.
- Loosen armature and slide out.
