Procedure

  1. Run the genset at approximately 1/2 rated power for the first 2 hours.
  2. Then run at 3/4 rated power for 2 more hours.
  3. Check the engine oil and oil level; use proper oil for ambient temperatures.
  4. Check the oil level twice a day or every 4 hours during the first 24 hours of operation.
  5. Change the oil after the first 50 hours of operation.
