Before you start
- A failed water pump might cause severe engine overheating, cracks in the cylinder head, a piston seizure or other damage.
Procedure
- Visually inspect the water pump for leaks.
- If leaking of the water pump seals is observed, replace all of the water pump seals.
- Inspect the water pump for wear, cracks, pin holes and proper operation.
