Before you start
- Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury.
Procedure
- Before taking the oil sample, complete Label PEEP5031 for identification.
- Provide engine model, service hours, hours since last oil change, and amount of oil added since last oil change.
- Obtain a warm, well mixed oil sample to ensure it is representative.
- Use clean tools and supplies to avoid contamination.
- Use the sampling valve if equipped. 169-8373 Fluid Sampling Bottle is recommended.
- If not equipped with a sampling valve, use 1U-5718 Vacuum Pump with disposable tubing.
