Before you start
- Ensure engine will not start during priming
Procedure
- Open the fuel supply valve; turn start switch OFF.
- Turn fuel priming pump plunger counterclockwise to release lock plate.
- Operate fuel priming pump until air is pumped through return line to tank.
- Push plunger to locking position; turn clockwise to engage lock plate.
- Enable starting system only after all maintenance is completed.
