Procedure

1. Open the fuel supply valve; ensure the engine will not start.
2. Turn the fuel priming pump plunger counterclockwise to release the lock plate.
3. Operate the fuel priming pump until the air is pumped through the return line to the tank.
4. Press the plunger to the locking position and turn clockwise to engage the lock plate.
