Procedure
- Install new lower half connecting rod bearing in bearing cap
- Install new upper half connecting rod bearing in connecting rod
- Pull connecting rod onto crankshaft
- Check connecting rod bearing clearances (0.062-0.160 mm new; max 0.20 mm used)
- Lubricate bolt threads and bearing cap seating faces, install cap and bolts ensuring numbers match
- Tighten bolts to 90 + 8 N-m (65 + 6 lb ft), mark bolts and caps, tighten an additional 90 + 5 degrees (1/4 turn)
