Before you start
- Do not crank the engine continuously for more than 30 seconds.
Procedure
- Turn the keyswitch to RUN for three minutes; slacken the manual purge screw if installed.
- Crank the engine with the throttle lever in the CLOSED position until the engine starts.
- Loosen the union nuts on the fuel injection lines until fuel is evident, then tighten to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
- Start the engine and run at idle for one minute.
- Cycle the throttle lever from low idle to high idle three times.
- Check for leaks in the fuel system.
