Before you start
- Used oil is a hazardous waste product. Dispose of used oil properly.
Procedure
- Place engine level.
- Disconnect spark plug wires and keep away from spark plugs. Disconnect battery at negative terminal (if equipped with electric starter).
- With engine OFF but still warm remove oil drain plug and drain oil into appropriate receptacle.
- Reinstall drain plug. Remove oil fill cap (if equipped).
- Fill to FULL mark on dipstick with new oil. Do not overfill.
- Replace oil fill cap and dipstick.

- Approximately 1-1/2 quarts (48 ounces or 1.4 liters) when changing oil and filter
