Before you start
- Never jump start a battery
- Do not cause flame or spark in battery area
- Remove watches, rings, necklaces and all metal objects
Procedure
- Open access doors and locate battery tray.
- Place the correct battery (BCI Group 31) on the tray.
- Install Battery Hold Down Bar and Rods through tray holes; secure with washers and nut.
- Repeat hold down rod installation for the other rod.
- Connect positive lead to positive (+) battery terminal.
- Connect negative lead to negative (-) battery terminal.
- Connect charging source to the battery terminals.
- Disconnect battery ground terminal before working near battery.
