1Belt Tension (Alternator Side) - Adjust adjustment
⚠ The lower nut on the adjusting rod has left-hand threads.
⚠ Excessive belt tension can cause rapid wear of the alternator bearing and shorten belt service life.
- Remove the belt cover.
- Loosen all retaining bolts of the alternator and adjusting rod.
- Loosen the upper and lower lock nuts on the adjusting rod.
- Turn the adjusting rod to adjust the belt tension.
- After adjusting deflection, fix the upper and lower lock nuts.
- Tighten all retaining bolts of the alternator and adjusting plate.
- Reinstall the belt cover and front cover.
