The Mitsubishi MDG8 is a 9 kW (11 kVA) standby generator set powered by a Mitsubishi L3E engine. It is available at 120/240 V, 120/208 V and 277/480 V, 1-phase, 60 Hz and rated 40 A. It holds about 4.7 L (1.2 gal) of oil and 4.3 L (1.1 gal) of coolant. Starting uses group-34 battery rated 850 CCA at 12 V. The set measures 65×166×122 mm (2.6×6.5×4.8 in). An integrated tank holds 110 L (29.1 gal). The same L3E engine also powers generator sets from Generac.
