Air Cleaner Service maintenance

⚠ Operating with loose or damaged air cleaner components could cause premature wear and failure

Remove screw and air cleaner cover
Remove foam element from air cleaner base
Wash foam element in warm water with detergent; rinse and air dry
Lightly oil foam element with new engine oil; squeeze out excess oil
Reinstall foam element into air cleaner base
Reinstall air cleaner cover and secure with screw

Clean area around oil fill plug/dipstick and oil drain plug
Remove oil drain plug and oil fill plug/dipstick; drain oil completely

Reinstall oil fill plug/dipstick and tighten securely

Replace Spark Plug maintenance

Clean out spark plug recess. Remove spark plug (Q) and replace.
Check gap using wire feeler gauge. Adjust gap to 0.03 in. (0.76 mm).
Install spark plug (Q) into cylinder head.
Torque spark plug (Q) to 20 ft. lb. (27 N·m).
