  Cause: Fuel mixture too rich
  Fix: Adjust choke, install needed carburetor parts, adjust float level
• Tapping sound
  Cause: Tappet clearance too great
  Fix: Adjust or replace tappets
• Plant will start but does not continue to run
  Cause: Trouble in one of the relays, the high water temperature switch, or a loose connection (runs with ignition switch at HAND START position)
• Plant starts but does not continue to run
  Cause: START button released too soon
  Fix: Hold in contact longer
• Generator overheating
  Cause: Overloaded
  Fix: Reduce load
