Before you start

  • Carefully protect oil seal from damage when removing the gear case

Procedure

  1. Remove oil pan mounting bolt under gearcase.
  2. Remove gear case mounting bolt.
  3. Remove gear case.
  4. Never fail to remove stiffener bolt at the center of the gear case.
  5. Extract crankshaft V-pulley using a puller by hitting the bolt of the puller using a plastic hammer.
