Before you start
- Never remove the thermostat; operating with it removed overheats the engine
Procedure
- Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
- Install with the jiggle valve facing upwards on the cylinder block.
- Install the thermostat cover and secure the rubber hose by the hose band.
- Fill with engine coolant (fresh water).
- Start the engine and check for water leakage.
