Before you start
- Never use solvent while smoking or near an open flame.
- Do not wring out the element; it could tear.
- Engine should never run without the element.
Procedure
- Loosen bolt and remove cover.
- Remove clip holding air filter cover.
- Remove air filter cover and element.
- Wash foam element in solvent and dry.
- Oil foam element and squeeze out excess oil.
- Insert element into air filter.
- Replace air filter cover and install clip.
- Install cover and tighten bolt.
Specs & values
- Foam-air-filter oil or SAE #20 motor oil
- Element should be wet but not dripping
